The spot in the horizon
Jul 21st, 2006 by Peter
This year C and I plan to go to Copenhagen on a short 4-5 trip in my vacation. The cash is low from moving apartments and other stuff, so the decision of where to go was not difficult. It had to be close and not too long time.
Even though we both would like nothing more than to hop on a plane to a more exotic spot it’s not going to happen this year. Well, doesn’t matter as there is a lot for C to see in Copenhagen, and I don’t neeeeeed to abroad to have a good time. We will live at one of my good friends apartments not too far from the centre of Copenhagen. It will be great to see my friend again, and show C some of the sights of Copenhagen.
Now we just wait for my vacation to start.
As a little band aid on the financial wound we already have begun discussing next year’s vacation. Both of us really would like to go to China again. C is anxious to see her family again of course. Well, me too. I never met C’s family in person, though I have a good idea of them through many hours of webcam chat. Besides the fact that I will be delighted to finally meet my family-in-law, I also look forward to re-unite with China and the Chinese in general. I am sure there is a lot to learn for me, and things to see and places photograph.
Last time I visit China I went to the southern China (Shenzhen just north of Hong Kong). Next time will be a whole new experience, as we will go to the northern China to C’s home city north of Harbin. The climate is very different, and from what I have learned, so is pretty much everything else. So to me that will be a brand new adventure. I can’t wait.
As always, everything depends on the economy. So nothing is set yet, but we cross our fingers. Just one more year…just one more year…just one more year…
