A fistful of dollars!

…or…. well… Flight tickets. Yesterday the flight tickets arrived. Viatravel in Ã…rhus did a great job, and helped me find some really good tickets for my wifes return trip (which by the way will be the 23. march).
Two things is especially good about the tickets:
- The price was lower than last time because of the general pricing across the world.
- One “leg” is cut off the flight schedule sending my wife directly to Copenhagen from Beijing.
Sometimes I can be lucky (wooow!). Recently Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has begun a new partnership with Airchina, and guess who accidently benefits from this?
Well, you really can’t win anything, so nevermind.
Fact is that this new partnership deal provides us with a much cheaper ticket than last time I checked. Before the new deal, a direct ticket to Denmark from China, could only be obtained with SAS, and cost in the amount of 18.000-20.000,- Dkr (~ 3000-3300$) for a both-way-ticket. So it was much cheaper to bite the sour apple and order a ticket with a stop-over in another country. Last time my wife had one of these in Sweden, before going the last leg.
Now the tickets cost a little less than half. Sweet. Besides the cheaper pricing, my wife also has shorter flight time, AND no extra stop-over and there fore less hazzles. GREAT!
I have now scanned the tickets, and will later send the originals to my wife later today. Earlier this morning I sent scanned copies of these in an email to the embassy in Beijing. They demand to see them and a copy of the insurance before they issue the visa. So now all we need is to get hold of insurance, scan the suckers, send the scan to the embassy and then all is settled for the visa and return of the Jedi! ;-)
Ps.: Note that this is ONLY the visa for 3 months. The permanent stay paperwork, which is also being prepared is a whole other deal, and will need about 45-50 pages. These consist of filled-out forms and copies of…. well… everything you can imagine in documentation for my personal situation. You can read much more about it in this entry.
Greeeaaat, as Tony The Tiger says ….. You are getting a lot closer to the final goal. But there is still a matter of food … as my calculations go, you stille have “plus” in your account .. :-) And NO Bean Curd.
