Married 16. dec.
Abandoned 20. dec.
Well, not really “abandoned”, but due to the strict laws here in Denmark, C.’s visa was only for 3 months, and last day was 21. dec. The flight ticket was made for the 20. december. A cruel fate, but still nothing to do about it.
It is no longer possible to extend the visa, as it was some years ago, so we both knew that she only had 3 months here before she had to go back to China. I won’t go in details about the law, but this was the only possibility without loosing 51.000 kr (~8.000$).
Fortunately this means that we will not have this problem the next time she arrives here. A new visa is possible in 3 months, so this is the timeline we go for. 3 stupid months alone without anything we can do about it. With a little luck, it may be shorter, but this is jura stuff and nothing is certain.
A good friend drove us to Copenhagen Airport yesterday, and I was allowed to follow her right to the gate after some burocratic hassle with the Airport personel. Pretty tough last day for both os us. Neither her nor I wanted her to go home, but it was out of our hands. Now all we can do is wait, while the next visa/papers is being finished and approved. At least we are now married, which is positive.
We had a great day, and we are both very happy. Still being apart for 3 months kind of overshadows this fact a little. Right now I wait for her email, that she has arrived sound and safe, after more than 29 hours of journey to her hometown. Pretty tough time indeed.
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS …. great that you got Married – I saw the pictures and it seemed as a very nice party. Everybody looked happy. But I hope that you will invite me for some chinese chow … maybe after X-mas as our yearly party didn’t happen … Talk to you soon.

Chinese chow, demands a Chinese woman, and I am one short for now. But lets see march/april. Things should look up by then :-)
I hope the months fly by until you are reunited, Peter!
Tnx all :-)
Come to this site via Chinablog.
A visa issue is very annoying one. I have this problem as a graduate in the UK after spending many years here. Anyway good luck to you. Nice picture of you two.
Tnx Jessy,
Fortunately the Visa for next visit is easier paperwise, but still the wait in between can not be shortened due to the danish law. :-(
Right now we just wait until she can return. For now we hope for fast reply from the Chinese embassy and a suitable flight to Denmark in the end og march.
