…who is getting more and more annoyed with Madonna lately?

I’ve never been much of a Madonna fan, but recently it has turned ugly.

I mean for one: When you walk like Tina Turner isn’t it a sign that you are a bit too old to wear high heals on a stage floor. I remember Turner’s last concerts, and her staggering about on stage that was kind of embarrassing in my humble opinion. High heals will do that for you if you feel more fragile. Nothing wrong with Turner’s music, but bet she could have pulled it of with some more age-fitting dresses and toned down movements.

Now I see the same signs in Madonna’s last performances and videos.

I agree that Madonna has done well to keep in shape, but even so, she can’t hide that she is getting older. 10-15 years ago she could power up her stage performance with some energetic dancing, but recently she seems a bit “stiff” to me. It’s like she only gives 95% because she fear pulling a hamstring, or spraining a knee.

I perfectly understand why. Age will get all of us, but I sure wish she would change her style accordingly, even though I know it will be death of her superstar status. My bet is that if she dress down, people will find out she has no musical talent.

Okay – okay, I know the mob decides what is hot and not, but as always, the mob needs a quick fix and don’t care it its clean.

Ohh – and please scold me for being an ageist. But believe me, that’s not really the case. I am just talking about presenting yourself best possible with what you have. I think Madonna have nothing, and makes up with provoking. Thats just too easy imho. Just like tight clothes don’t look pretty on me, I think 15 years old girls in tiny revealing clothes are not fitting. The same goes for a boy band showing some chest (or lack of same) for that matter. That’s just plain ridiculous and only done to attract attention. Same thing.

Madonna’s newest album doesn’t change my mind one bit. For one I find it too easy to sample an old ABBA song and get a world-wide hit. As a matter of fact I really never liked any of Madonna’s albums, but until now, she never really annoyed me either. It’s just plain pop and nothing special at that. During her career she has balanced out her lack of musical talent with provoking with sex, blasphemy, and homosexuality and whatever she could find. Not that any of those really pissed me off, but that’s just playing the common denominator to the max.

Her music and videos are everywhere, and since I noticed her last desperate attempt to stay on top, it has started to annoy me a bit. I won’t say that I hate her, but now that I have noticed her aging without dignity, her appearance is getting on my nerves.

Ahhh… feel much better already and sorry Madonna. You do the best you can, I’m sure.
