The darkness
Dec 22nd, 2006 by Peter
This is how I saw most of the 1½ hour of my work day the other week.
I was driving to some lengthy meetings in Arhus and then back again later. 1½ hour on the road to get there. No daylight for the first ½ hour (no pictures were usable before the break of day unless you like pitch black?).
Going home was just as boring. 1 hour of driving, and then complete dark for the last 30 minutes. Lousy Danish winters.
No needs to say that it sucked my energy clean off my well-shaped corpus? No wonder why people here get depressed.
When the day is shortest, the sun sets around 8.00 am, and goes down at 3.30pm. This means an average workday is like this:
You get up when it’s dark. Go to work. See the sun set through your works window and return to your home when it has set. Boooooooring.
