For all you out there, who use WordPress, this could be helpful if your blog is being raped by spambots.
I recently installed this plugin which generates a random code when people post comments. It seems to work, and so far it is flawless too, unlike the old method (Gatekeeper) which I believe must have compatibility issues with newer versions of WP.
Its pretty easy to install if only you use the time it takes to register your email address.
Just follow the instructions at do this:
-
1) Go to: Protectwebform
2) Click ‘Signup’
3) Write a username, and your email and agree to the privacy policy
4) Check your email, and login on the site with recieved the user and pass
5) Click on the ‘Generate’ button and hit ‘Install’
6) Scroll down to WordPress Plugin beta and hit ‘Download’
7) Unpack and install the plugin by putting the unpacked file in: yourwordpressdirectory/wp-content/plugins
8) Go to your admin panel in WP and enable the plugin.
Thats it.
