Just ask your 12 year old nephew to code your 4 restaurants’ homepage without asking him to see previous work. Well at least that’s what I think Restaurant Casa Blanca here in Aalborg did. A few days ago I started looking for restaurant here in Aalborg where 3 guys and yours truly could attempt our […]

It is so hard to keep track of my anger if I just let it slip. So freshly inspired by this entry by TTC, I decided that a blacklist is exactly what I need. Talk doesn’t do it alone, so I have now made one. You can find it in the panel to the right, […]

The last 2 weeks, the amount of spam have risen considerably. The Akismet spam filter stops 99.9% of them as they are held for moderation/deletion. Still I still have to approve and scan them every day. More work that I really don’t want to do. Today no less than 113 spam comments has been deleted […]
The Danish Batman

Friday the 8. september was a cool day. All day was spent with my colleagues on our annual team meeting / teambuilding seminar. Had a great meeting, excellent food and also indulged in some pretty cool physical activities. I especially liked rappelling (first time), though I had to concentrate hard not to do horrible things […]
Just the other day I got yet another visit from my favorite we-can-save-your-atheist-ass cult Jehovah’s Witnesses. Must be the 6th or 7th time they tried to save me and probably not the last. I still remember the first visit. It was a 2-3 months after I moved away from home. I was caught completely off […]
My wife started school in august, and everything is going as planned. Good school and great teachers. She even decided to pick up a few extra books with voice tapes for learning the correct pronunciation besides the normal homework. I decided to listen in on 2 of the books and to my horror found them […]
Team building
Posted in Denmark on Sep 8th, 2006
So today I go on a daylong meeting with my colleagues. It’s a mix of both meeting, and team-building experience. As I tried to explain about the team-building part to my wife mentioning that maybe we had to go horseback riding or something she just said: “But you’re very fat?!”. Gotta love her.
Button of annoyance nr 1 – Caps Lock If you – like me – always use the splendid 2-finger system for writing, you must have experienced the horror of later proofreading your daily letters only to see something like this: dEAR MR. GATES. dO YOU NOW THAT wINDOWS SUCKS BIG TIME? wHAT WERE YOU THINKING […]

Yesterday we ate: Leftover rice (only needed reheating) Steamed bread (only needed reheating) Potato/cabbage thingy The latter dishwashing came down to this: 6 chopsticks (we are 2 people) 1 Wooden spoon 1 normal spoon 1 teaspoon 2 eating bowls 1 small bowl 1 […]
Nerding has some advantages
Posted in Denmark on Aug 30th, 2006
Since I recently left the biggest gaming community in Denmark to prioritize my wife and “normal” life, I have enjoyed letting completely go of the urge to check up on counter-strike related stuff. I still hang around since it is hard to let completely go on something my friend and I started almost 3 years […]
I love WordPress. It is easy to use and maintain when you get through the geekish hassle of installing it. Should you be a lesser nerd, you even have a possibility to buy a ready installation from the good guys at WP. Then you’re all set to begin blogging and still have most of the […]

The Where-have-I-been-map: Saw this tool about 100 times, and never got around to playing with it. Well now I did. Scary result. Not that I haven’t been that much around, but more that my travelling resembles the spread of bird-flu.
If one of those tickets should happen to fall, 28 tickets.

The number: 29 – The number of seconds my wife is able to give me a death stare without blinking? – The number of remaining hairs on Ted Danson’s head? – The number of people who have actually read more than one sentence of this blog? – John Holmes? – The number of breaths I […]

Copenhagen
Posted in Denmark on Aug 22nd, 2006
The 31st July C and I went on a short vacation in Copenhagen. A good friend was going there the same week anyway, so we were offered to split the gas for an otherwise free ride in his sports car. How could we say no? On our way we crossed “Storebaeltsbroen” which is a huge […]
What the hell have you been up to?
Posted in Denmark on Aug 21st, 2006
The lack of updates lately was partly to busy schedule, and a well deserved vacation. Lots of stuff has happened. Besides the acquisition of a new “friend” for our rabbit, we had a 4 days trip to Copenhagen. I plan to throw in some pictures and info from it later. More importantly C. finally got […]
I lost the game, but won some silence
Posted in Denmark on Aug 20th, 2006
As one would have guesses (the odds was 1:1.05), my wife won the “The-rabbit-needs-a-friend-game”. Even though I didn’t agree that the current rabbit (named: Chou) was especially lonely, I had to admit that rabbits rarely are alone in the nature, so maybe he would enjoy company. Thus I caved. There was a question that needed […]
… wearing sandals and socks when it is pouring down. I spotted 3 colleagues who apparently won’t give up their leather strapped beauties, even though the weather gods clearly told them it was not a normal Danish summer day. When I got up this morning at 6.30 we were greeted by pounding rain. It made […]
